What is the Sudwala Dinosaur Park?
The Sudwala Dinosaur Park is a museum that displays life size models of prehistoric animals ranging from amphibious reptiles, dinosaurs, prehistoric man and much more.
Where is the Sudwala Dinosaur Park located?
The Sudwala Dinosaur Park is right next to the Sudwala Caves, about thirty minutes from Nelspruit in Mpumalanga.
Do you need a Guide?
You can choose whether you want to explore the Park on your own or use a Guide. My kids were way too hyperactive and because I knew this would happen, we decided not to use a guide. It was still fun on our own though.
The poor Guide would not have known what to do with these hyper kids and it might have upset other people. All the details about the dinosaurs were close to each one so it wasn’t like we missed anything by not having a Guide.
I would advise you to have a Guide because they have a way of making everything even more interesting than it already is.
Memories were made
The Sudwala Dinosaur Park is a wonderful family place to visit. To learn more about these prehistoric animals while walking among them is priceless. You kind of get a feel for how it would have been if they were still alive.
How different would our lives have been? Would the towns and cities be electric fenced all around? Which ones would have been pets? It would have been much harder than the comfort zone we live in today.
What we enjoyed the most
The most fun was watching my kids run from one dinosaur to the next because they loved all of them. They would stop at one, shout out the details and come get us to have a look.
We didn’t get to rest for a second. Two people being divided by five and a whole lot of dinosaurs wasn’t easy but we made it. We survived.
Having five kids means you can never satisfy all of them. One would end up not liking it or be bored. I’ve never seen all of my kids so happy with the same place. It was like seeing their Christmas faces the whole day.
I can’t wait for this lock down to be over so I can take my grandson. I know he would love everything just as much as we did.
